Education

2019-2022 First in BSc (hons) Ecology and Conservation at Lancaster University including dissertation with external partner and Andrew Malloch prize for field ecology.

2012-2019 Durham Johnston School; A*A*A at A level.

Experience

Youth councils (2021-ongoing)

  • Work on youth councils for the RSPB, FSc and Youth Environment Service to promote youth voices

  • Guide the direction of the organisations

  • Present promotional and educational material

Peregrine Film (2022-ongoing)

  • Collaborating with professional filmmakers to create a film about the relationship between people and Peregrines in Yorkshire

  • Filmed on location, including interviews

Student radio presenter (2019-20)

  • Hosted my own 60-minute radio show discussing environmental news and events.

  • Interviewed course-mates on various topics

Cabinet Office Policy School (2019)

  • Led a team of students to create a policy brief aimed at reducing the UK's carbon emissions.

  • Pitched the policy proposal to members of the civil service at HM Treasury. 

Public speaking events (2012-21)

  • Won public speaking competition at both primary and secondary school.

  • Guest speaker to Lanchester Wildlife Group.

  • Presented carbon emissions reducing policy idea at HM Treasury as part of 'Policy School' event.
